John Betz, who does business in Atlantic City and the broader New Jersey-Pennsylvania area, once had 11 Auntie Anne’s franchise locations, which were all sold years ago. Now his company is one of less than a hundred Starbucks licensees in the U.S.

Betz owns or part-owns 10 Starbucks. They average about $1.2 million in annual sales per store and just under 300,000 customers a year. — Suzette Parmley, The Inquirer
